Very Nice, Very Nice is a 7 minute long avant-garde film made by Arthur Lipsett in 1961. It was completed with funding from the National Film Board of Canada. While working at the National Film Board, Lipsett collected pieces of audio and pieced them together as a hobby. When his friends heard the product of this they suggested that he add images to it. This film is the result.

Denis regular Gregoire Colin is snatched off the sidewalk by some guys he knows, given a gun and an apparently convincing speech (we don’t hear it – there’s no spoken dialogue). Colin stops at the beach to think, then heads through a parade to a restaurant, where he finds and kills his man.

There, she discovers that the old Málek family are expecting the arrival of a girl from the orphanage, from whom they intend to raise Jiří's future wife. Enterprising Věra doesn't hesitate and quickly disguises herself as a thirteen-year-old frog...

The story of old Hana, who devoted her entire life to gardens. She designed them, planted them, cared for them, lived for them. Now she is old, sick, has difficulty moving, and feels that her life has shrunk and is coming to an end. However, Hana is not a whiny poor thing; she is a realistic woman with a sense of ironic humor who can still tease even her very grown-up son. She sees quite clearly that nothing new will happen in her life. The opposite is true. A young girl in worn-out sneakers enters Hana's life.

The bourgeois family does not forgive, from her point of view, inappropriate behavior - contempt overtakes both the girl who decides to dedicate her life to dancing and her sister, who takes in her child, passing it off as her own. The sinister lesson is that even the greatest career cannot compensate for lost maternal love...

Dr Robyn Penrose is a lecturer in English at Rummidge University. Vic Wilcox is the Managing Director of Pringle's, an engineering firm in Rummidge. They meet when Robyn is told by her Head of Department to "shadow" Vic as part of Industry Year. They are initially hostile to each other but gradually come to understand each other's point of view. Based on the novel by David Lodge.

Nice Shorts consists of four short films from up and coming directors. A simple walk means so much more in the touching short "Shall We Take a Walk?" directed by Kim Ye Yeong and Kim Yeong Geun. Winner of Best Korean Short at the 2009 Jeonju Film Festival and the Excellence Award at the Seoul Independent Film Festival, Jo Sung Hee's "Don't Step Out of the House" is about two young children who live in a rundown apartment by themselves, and what happens when adults invade their space.
